Generally, stunning autumn colours are usually associated with Canada’s east coast. But even on the west coast, in the West Kootenays of British Columbia, the forests blaze into gold each fall. The Kootenays have some of Canada’s highest concentrations of Alpine and Western Larches and these trees light up the mountains between September and November each year.
This print is inspired by a grove of larches we pass through on the trails near our home.
A nine-colour limited-edition reduction linocut, carved and printed by hand from a single block, each colour printed individually.
