Shapes in driftwood. Do you see them? Do you imagine fantastical creatures and beings?
There was once, or maybe it’s there still, a large piece of driftwood propped against the tree trunk next to the entrance of a small cabin in the woods on Texada Island, BC. Sounds like a story but it’s true. I saw it.
And each time I passed by this piece of wood, the words Our Lady of Peace came to my mind. And, really, if some people see the face of Jesus in a piece of toast, why not a madonna in a piece of driftwood.
