Dusk. Daylight fades and the sky glows in pale tints of blue and rose. Jewel Lake sits silent and serene as the dense wilderness surrounding it sinks into shadow. Clouds of mist dance on the surface of the water – swirling, shifting. Somewhere in the distance, a Loon summons the night and then all is quiet again.
