A small private campground is surrounded by farmer’s fields near Picture Butte, Southern Alberta, in what seems like nowhere special. No place to walk the dogs but into the fields where they race through tall grass and patches of mud. It’s late afternoon, there’s laundry to be done and dinner to be cooked, but the fields are green and glowing and there’s a sense of timelessness to this place. There’ll be a storm later, the clouds are gathering but, for now, it’s serene and calm and precious.
