Leighton Lake, one of two high-elevation man-made lakes in the Tunkwa Plateau of the Thompson/Shuswap area of British Columbia, rests among rolling grass-covered hills and wild flower meadows, bordered here and there by woodland. In this part of BC, the sky is big and the feeling of space is immense. You can walk for hours, watching swallows dip and glide, or watching the fishing boats glimmer in the sun.
This print is part of the Heron Road series – inspired by a year-long road trip along the back roads of North America.
